Welcome to Camping le Sous-Bois, your 3-star campsite in La Cotinière on the Île d’Oléron. Just a stone's throw from the small fishing port! We welcome you from April 1st to October 31st, in a natural and relaxing setting. I imagined this place as a haven of peace. More than 20 years ago, this devastated land was patiently replanted, tree by tree with love. Today it is populated with acacias, holm oaks, albizias and catalpas. Here, nature has reclaimed its rights, and birds—blackbirds, goldfinches, finches, jays, woodpeckers, and pheasants—feel at home, just like our vacationers.

Each accommodation is designed to respect the existing trees, with particular attention paid to privacy and comfort. Whether you choose a cozy mobile home or a campsite, you'll enjoy the natural coolness and welcoming shade of the undergrowth.

No noisy entertainment here, but:

* a jacuzzi area for relaxing,

* different food trucks every evening in July and August,

* pony rides from July 24th to August 21st,

* a beautiful play area for children, and on August 5th, a laser tag afternoon, and on August 12th, an afternoon of inflatable games,

* a mini sports park for older children, where organized tournaments of ping pong, soccer, and pétanque will be held from July 22nd to August 29th, supervised by David, our coach. sporty,

* and our annual inter-camping pétanque event on August 20th,

Throughout your stay on the Île d'Oléron, you will have the opportunity to meet the members of the team, who bring the Camping to life the Undergrowth.

At the reception and for administrative questions, you will find Sylvie, Camille, Laurine and < strong>Dorothée. At maintenanceand technical service, you will come across Jean-François, Samuel and Rémy. In accommodationmaintenance and housekeeping, you will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with Marie-Claude, Maguy and Isabelle. 

Without forgetting, the seasonal workers who come in to support the summer season. 

Tourist documentation and good advice The reception

We invite you to meet at the reception desk to obtain all the practical information about your stopover at Camping le Sous-Bois. We welcome you there every day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (7 p.m. in July and August). In French, in English and in German, we will advise you on the best addresses. 

It is also at reception that we will provide you with: baby kit, adapter, safe, ice pack and small convenience store with local products.

Comfortable accommodation Mobile-men

Able to accommodate one to six people, the mobile homes of our campsite near the sea on the Île d'Oléron are comfortable and well equipped. Check-in takes place from 4 p.m. and check-out, before 10 a.m.. Arrival days vary depending on categories.

To travel lighter, sheets and towels can be rented. end of stay cleaning is at additional cost.

A relaxing getaway The cottages

Designed to accommodate one to six people, the chalets are an invitation to relaxation and rest. You will appreciate these comfortable and perfectly equipped accommodations. You will be able to reach your chalet from 4 p.m. and you must leave it before 10 a.m.. Arrival days vary depending on model.

In our wilderness campsite on the Île d'Oléron, we offer sheets and towelsin supplement, such as end of stay cleaning.

An atypical stay Canvas bungalows

Opt for a stay that is different from the ordinary in our family campsite on the Île d’Oléron. The canvas bungalows are only availablein July and August. Check-in takes placefrom 4 p.m. and check-out, before 10 a.m.. 

So that you can travel lighter, we offer rental of sheets and towels. end of stay cleaning is at additional cost.

Caravans, tents and motorhomes The slots

In ourcampsite close to the sea on the Île d’Oléron, we provide our campers with beautiful pitches. Arrival is organized from 2 p.m. and check-out, before 12 p.m.. 

You will have access to a large sanitary block with showers, toilets and PRM area, as well as a service area for motorhomes.

Our locations on the Île d’Oléron are ideal for lovers of nature and quiet stopovers! 

Everything for your comfort 3-star services

  • Laundry room available with washing machine (integrated laundry detergent) and dryer. You will be able to pay with your bank card.
  • Paid Wi-Fi connection, available throughout the campsite.
  • Pets allowed on the pitch and in the rentals, at an additional cost.
  • Each location has one parking space. outdoor parking is available to campers.

Find yourself on the Île d’Oléron The events

Apart from July and August, we can organize events: birthdays, weddings, cousins, etc. You can rent the large yurt, in order to welcome your guests, and reserve accommodation.
